hi there
on the off chance youve ever actually visited this blog in the hops of hearing news and conversation about the internet radio show/ podcast "It Came from the Longbox" (available at thinktwiceradio.com http://www.thinktwiceradio.com/mike-hoffert/mike-hoffert.html and also on iTunes...FOR FREE!!!) this is the blog for that show.
So...i havent updated the damn thing since our launch almost a year ago...sorry.
So on to new for the show:
Mr.'s Cliff Parks and Tom LeValley have officially joined the show as co-hosts. And we've had artist extroirdaniare (i bet i spelled that wrong) Mr. James Kenneth Woodward on both a great interview and as a guest co-host for our December '09 Episode "An Ecclectic Christmas".
We have a contest going on to win the first volume of "Scalped" by Jason Aarron and R.M. Guerra and all you have to do is tell me what Jason Aarron's first published comics work was.
so...i plan to update this often, and make it a place for back issues. so join us. PLEASE!!!

A Note on the first show, and a request for future shows
hey out there all you lurkers!
i would just like to let everyone reading this know that the first record for "It Came From the Longbox" @ thinktwiceradio.com will be this Wednesday at seven p.m., so the show should be up and ready to go probably by nine, and God willing, i'll be able to also get it up on iTunes by next weekend. (I will also be posting a link here, and starting a thread for that first episode for people to hopefully comment on)
On that note, i wnated to let people in on the skinny of the show: my main goal is to spotlight a lot of hidden gems and forgotten treasures from my comic book collection, as well as my guests. It could be series that was big at the time but is now forgotten, or a book that passed under almost everyones radar. I also plan to talk about current comic book and film interests.
It is with this in mind that i ask you, the lurker of this blog (or hopefully subscriber!!!) to send me some suggestions on some books that you think would be good to feature on the show. i already have a bunch in mind, but hopefully with YOUR input, i can have many more, and we all can share the joy of reading these treasured books.
